August Retreat

Hello Everyone!  

We've planned an August retreat for the 15, 16; we will be enjoying the lovely lake scenery at Wendy's house.  The plan is to arrive at Wendy's for 10 a.m. 

On Saturday, we are planning for everyone to bring an appitizer, round one (1/2) will be for lunch and round two (remaining 1/2) will be for dinner.  Joanne will be bring a "fancy salad" to round out our meals.  On Sunday we will plan to arrive at 11 a.m and we will have a bbq with smokies . B.Y.O.beverages!  Open craft and working weekend....stools optional! Remember our challenge will due on Saturday!  The theme for this challenge is food.  Hope to see everyone there!

Annual fees remain at $35.00. The fine for not participating in a challenge is $10.00. At each meeting we will all work on our own projects-figuratively related. If we don’t participate there will be a $5.00 fine. Remember this all goes into the kitty towards a teacher or retreat or other such fun. Suzy has volunteered to be group historian –taking photos each month to share on our blog. When Suzie is absent Jackie will step in. Wendy will remain treasurer, Leslie will remain chair, and Amanda will continue posting on the blog.

 

There will be 4 challenges this year;

November  “ any  theme doll” (must use a new medium or technique or both)"

December 17 our Christmas dinner –this year we will go to a restaurant (Jo is in charge of organizing this)

 

We will have an auction at April’s meeting, as a fund raiser. Bring anything handmade, or supplies or perhaps surplus from your stash- (anything you feel may bring in cash)

We will pursue looking for new members.
